Job summary

Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Lead - Omnicell to provide day-to-day operational leadership, oversee Omnicell operations, ensure regulatory compliance, manage inventory, and train staff within the Inpatient Pharmacy.

The role supports pharmacists and technicians, acting as SME and ensuring resources and training meet State Board of Pharmacy requirements.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: Three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
License/Certification: Pharmacy Technician by California Board of Pharmacy; Certified Pharmacy Technician by Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.

Responsibilities

Create/modify training documents and draft/modify SOPs for the assigned pharmacy area.
Coordinate training schedules in collaboration with department management.
Monitor daily workload and assist pharmacists and management in organizing workflow to meet schedules.
Provide actionable feedback to employees to ensure policies are followed and promote teamwork.
Identify opportunities to improve workflow processes and quality initiatives that enhance patient safety.
Perform audits for compliance.
Coach and mentor pharmacy technicians and interns.
Provide input on staff performance for annual reviews.
Perform all duties of pharmacy technicians as required.
