Job summary

Universal Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Pharmacy Technician / IV Certified to join our Amarillo-based pharmacy team. Under supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will assist with medication preparation, inventory control, and record-keeping to support safe patient care.

Qualifications

• Registered Texas Pharmacy Technician status or eligibility.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy settings preferred.
• IV compounding or sterile preparation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory and records according to procedures and regulations.

Position: Pharmacy Tech / IV Certified / Sign On Bonus Available

POSITION SUMMARY

Pharmacy Technicians, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department. Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy Technicians function in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines and state and federal regulations. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Participates with pharmacists, nursing, and medical staff to provide safe, accurate and timely medicatin administration.

Qualifications

• 1. Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy prior to start of employment.


• 2. 1-2 years experience in hospital pharmacy experience preferred.


• 3. Demonstrates high level of organizational skills.


• 4. Demonstrates independent functioning.


• 5. High school graduate or equivalency.
