Job summary

Universal Health Services in Amarillo is seeking a Pharmacy Technician, IV Certified, to support the pharmacy team in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining inventory, and keeping accurate records under supervision.

You will work with pharmacists, nurses, and physicians to ensure safe medication administration and compliance with state and federal regulations. A Texas license and hospital experience are preferred; a sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy prior to start of employment.
• 1-2 years experience in hospital pharmacy preferred.

Position: Pharmacy Tech / IV Certified / Sign On Bonus Available

POSITION SUMMARY:

Pharmacy Technicians, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department. Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy Technicians function in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines and state and federal regulations. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.
