Job summary

Johnston Community College in Smithfield, NC seeks a Pharmacy Technology Instructor to provide high-quality instruction, plan and assess student experiences, and help develop the program under the supervision of program leadership.

The role focuses on delivering classroom and clinical instruction, maintaining records, and collaborating across departments to support student success. This is a part-time faculty position.

Qualifications

• AAS degree in Pharmacy Technology or candidate for degree.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or Pharmacist license (NCBOP/PTCB).
• One year of pharmacy experience in hospital and/or community setting.
• Some sterile and non-sterile compounding experience preferred.
• Professional membership in ASHP/state chapters preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate experiences for students in the Pharmacy Technology program.
• Assist students in remediation of skills as directed by faculty.
• Maintain accurate attendance and performance records for classroom and clinical sites.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, implementation, and revision.
• Identify and obtain educational resources including textbooks and lab supplies.
• Maintain complete office and student records and timely reporting.
• Maintain professional communication with college units and departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by program leadership.
