HCA Florida Mercy Hospital seeks a Pharmacy Technician II to join our team. You will compound and dispense medications, manage inventory, and update patient records under pharmacist supervision.

The role involves preparing sterile products, chemotherapy, hazardous drugs, and delivering orders to care areas. The ideal candidate has 1 year of pharmacy tech experience; 3 months sterile compounding preferred; HS diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of pharmacy tech experience required.
• 3 months sterile product compounding experience preferred.
• ASHP/PTCB certification preferred; registration required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Fill medication orders requested by physician or pharmacist, and deliver to patient care and other areas.
• Prepare sterile products, chemotherapy and hazardous drugs, and parenteral products.
• Dispense controlled substances with proper documentation; report discrepancies to pharmacist.
• Ensure adequate stock of medications and supplies according to policy.
• Assist ordering; receiving, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals and related supplies.
• Pick up orders, requisitions, and medications for return from patient care areas during rounds.
• Organize and prioritize work assignments; respond to urgent and routine requests.
