Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of retail pharmacy experience with proficiency in medication preparation and dosage calculations, insurance processing and inventory management.
• Basic knowledge of math, the metric system, chemistry and medical terminology is essential.
• Good telephone, oral and written communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in providing professional pharmacy services to patients and staff.
• Clerical tasks: recording, filing and reporting pharmacy activities and services.
• Perform non-sterile compounding and insurance claim processing after gaining competency.
• Inventory management and ordering; work under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
