Job summary

Kettering Health in Miamisburg is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the prescription filling process in a busy retail-pharmacy setting. You will assist the pharmacist with data entry, labeling, inventory and OTC merchandising to ensure accurate, timely service to patients.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, are nationally certified, and bring at least two years of retail pharmacy experience, with strong communication skills to serve patients and health care providers

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician certification.
• Minimum 2 years of retail pharmacy technician experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacist in total prescription filling process; data entry, inventory monitoring, counting, labeling, ordering, stocking, filing, and selling of prescribed and OTC products.
• OTC merchandising
• Help health care providers and patients in person and by phone; answers questions and requests; referring to pharmacist when appropriate.
• Comply with state and federal drug laws, KHN policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
