Job summary

Kettering Health Dayton is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for PRN, varied shifts. You will assist pharmacists in filling prescriptions, manage data entry and inventory, and provide customer support in person and by phone. This position requires attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, and be nationally certified as a Pharmacy Technician with 2 years of relevant experience. Compliance with drug laws and internal policies is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician credential is required.
• 2 years of retail or inpatient pharmacy technician experience are preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in the total prescription filling process including data entry, counting, labeling, ordering, stocking, filing, and selling of prescribed and OTC products.
• Handle OTC merchandising and customer assistance in person and by phone; refer to pharmacist when needed.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal drug laws and KHN policies.
• Support health care providers and patients; answer questions and requests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
