Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II for the Outpatient Heart Institute on Burnet Campus in Cincinnati, OH. The role is part-time (20 hours/week) with daytime hours, 8am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday, with negotiable schedule.

Starting pay is $23.00/hour, with potential increases based on experience. Requires high school diploma, 1+ year tech experience, and PTCB and OH Board certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of work experience as a Pharm Tech required.
• Preferred: 3+ years high volume IV and/or specialty drug experience
• Must be PTCB certified and OH Board of Pharmacy certified

Responsibilities

• Medication Orders - Performs unit dose preparation for cartfill and first doses.
• Compounding - Performs sterile compounding or non-sterile hazardous compounding.
• Tech Check Tech - Under authorized program is able to check the work of another pharmacy technician.
• Medication Management - Manages medication doses on the nursing unit in decentralized pharmacy operations.
• Phone Triage - Performs inpatient phone triage
