Dayton Children's is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II at their Main Campus in Dayton, Ohio. This full-time role involves assisting the pharmacist with medication preparation, complying with regulatory standards, and participating in training and quality improvement initiatives.
The technician must be a certified pharmacy technician and uphold the values of safety, compassion, and quality care in all interactions. This position is key in maintaining the standard of pharmacy operations.

Job Details: The Pharmacy Technician II assists the pharmacist with the preparation of medications for dispensing. The technician performs various technical and supportive tasks necessary to provide pharmacy services. The pharmacy technician II works under supervision of the pharmacist and focuses on accurate medication preparation following established policy and procedures set forth by the Pharmacy Department.
The role meets the requirements of being a qualified pharmacy technician as established by the State Board of Pharmacy and holds a Certified Pharmacy Technician license from a State Board of Pharmacy accredited agency. The technician complies with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the drug enforcement administration, and the food and drug administration, along with other regulatory agencies.
The pharmacy technician II has mastered job duties and responsibilities and takes active part in training technicians and quality improvement projects.
