Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking a Pharmacy Technician 2 to support pharmacists in retrieving, processing, preparing, and distributing medications for patient care. This position operates under pharmacist supervision across inpatient and outpatient settings, including medication history tasks.

Qualifications

• Assist pharmacists in retrieval, processing, preparation, and distribution of medications under supervision.
• Inpatient, outpatient, and medication history tasks; adhere to USP standards.
• Foster accurate counts, labeling, and safe handling of drugs and PHI.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounded formulations per USP standards.
• Deliver patient-specific medications to nursing units and prioritize STAT orders.
• Restock ADCs and pharmacy systems; monitor stock levels and reorders.
• Process prescriptions including insurance adjudication and prior authorizations.
