Job summary

University Hospitals in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to support pharmacists in retrieval, processing, preparation, and distribution of medications for patient care. The role operates under pharmacist supervision across inpatient, outpatient, medication-history, and infusion workflows.

The ideal candidate will hold an Ohio CPhT license and a high school diploma; hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited pharmacy technician program preferred.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) license in Ohio is required.
• Prior hospital pharmacy technician experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in retrieval, processing, preparation, and distribution of medications for patient care.
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile formulations following USP guidelines; support timely delivery of meds to units.
• Restock ADCs and pharmacy systems; monitor stock levels and prevent stockouts.
• Process outpatient prescriptions including insurance adjudication and dangerous drug handling.
• Provide medication history support and collaborate with care teams.
