UC San Diego in San Diego, CA seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support the Moores Cancer Center and Koman Outpatient Pavilion. Responsibilities include IV sterile compounding, chemotherapy prep, and medication distribution via Pyxis stations. Per diem/offers Tech II/III levels with related licensure.
Position requires CA tech license, CPhT certification, and 2–5 years depending on level; expects strong accuracy, communication, and multitasking in a high-volume environment.
Under general supervision, will perform a full range of duties in the Moores Cancer Center and the Koman Outpatient Pavillion pharmacy setting. Assists the pharmacist in the preparation of medications (including antineoplastics/chemotherapy) for patient use for IV sterile compounding preparation & administration in accordance to established procedures under USP 797/800, assist in the distributions of medications via Pyxis Med Station A Stations; maintains skills applicable to all information systems within the pharmacy, maintain inventory levels; and perform other duties as assigned. Will perform assigned operational duties in a scheduled area and will assist pharmacists in completing medication orders and related distribution duties in the assigned area.
Depending on experience of the selected candidate, this position will be hired at the Per Diem Pharm Tech II or Pharm Tech III.

Annual Full Pay Range: $75,356 - $75,356 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $36.09 - $36.09
