City of Hope is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II for per diem coverage. Under Pharmacist supervision, you will prepare, package and compound medications including oral, IV and chemotherapy/biohazard products.
Responsibilities include order entry, inventory management and coordination with specialties to ensure timely infusion deliveries, as well as handling prior authorizations and patient benefits. Per diem role with competitive hourly pay.

Join our team as a Pharmacy Technician II and play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality pharmaceutical care. Under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, you will be responsible for preparing, packaging, and compounding a variety of medications, including oral, intravenous (IV), and chemotherapy/biohazard medications.
Ensure compliance with USP 797 & 800 at all times.
Utilize proper aseptic technique for all pharmaceutical mixing.
Order, receive, and maintain accurate medication inventory.
Coordinate with Specialty Pharmacies or manufactures for timely deliveries of medications for infusion.
Performs routine daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning as required.
Procure and maintain supplies necessary for daily mixing operation.
Prescription order entry and process.
Coordination and submission of prior authorizations.
Determination of patient’s prescription benefits and seeks appropriate financial assistance when applicable.
Order, receive and maintain accurate medication inventory.
Assist with routing and release of prescriptions to the appropriate pharmacy
Properly label and fills prescription drugs.
High School or equivalent or Post High School vocational/specialized training or Graduation from a foreign school of Pharmacy
3 or more years of performing related duties as a pharmacy technician
Certified Pharmacist Technician (CPhT) from Pharmacy Technician
Certification Board (PTCB), preferred
Hourly Per Diem Rate: $33.478900
