Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician at the Winston Campus (Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - Pharmacy). The role supports licensed pharmacists in preparing medications, handling inventories, and ensuring accurate labeling and documentation. It is a full-time, 40-hour week position on 1st shift with weekend/holiday rotations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) or National Healthcareer Association (ExCPT).
• North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist in preparing and distributing medications.
• Select, prepare, and label medications for patients, including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Assist with medication distribution and inventory control.
• Handle phone calls and routing with proper etiquette.
• Document and manage controlled substances as required.
• Perform nonsterile compounding per USP standards; sterile IV admixture as applicable.
