Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, and delivering medications for inpatient and ambulatory services. You will operate Pyxis and Epic systems, maintain inventory, and participate in quality assurance while teaching trainees and collaborating with nurses and physicians to optimize patient care.
Applicants should have a high school diploma, MA Pharmacy Tech License or Trainee/Intern status, and PTCB certification

Pharmacy Technicians ensure safe, effective, and timely patient-centered care, and are integral to the pharmacy healthcare team. The role requires performing a wide variety of duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist relating to the preparation, distribution, and storage of pharmaceuticals for patients.
Pharmacy Technicians work with computerized and automated systems for dispensing medications and preparing intravenous admixtures, as well as chemotherapy products.
Team members are responsible for developing and promoting collaborative and collegial relationships with nurses, physicians, and interdepartmental personnel as they relate to the pharmaceutical care of the patients.
Once trained, be responsible for teaching and training other technicians and assisting in administrative duties.

Pay Range: $26.25 - $35.33. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
