Job summary

East Alabama Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support dispensing medications under supervision. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and patient-focused service within a hospital setting.

You will maintain stock levels, verify receipts, restock medications, and work closely with pharmacists, nurses and providers to ensure timely medication access for patients. Prior hospital or retail pharmacy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Alabama State Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration is required.
• If licensed after Jan 1, 2020 must obtain CPhT or ALBOP-approved program within 6 months.

Required Registration/License/Certification

Alabama State Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration. If licensed after January 1, 2020 must obtain Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate (CPhT) or complete an ALBOP approved technician training program within 6 months of registration.

• One-year previous experience in hospital or retail pharmacy.

Preferred Registration/License/Certification
