The pharmacy technician performs a variety of duties related to the preparing and dispensing of medications according to standard procedure under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to provide quality patient care. Maintain inventory by verifying receipt, restocking and removing outdated medications. Provide excellent customer service to physicians, nurses and other hospital staff members. Displays commitment to the pharmacy department by working collaboratively with team members.
Alabama State Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration. If licensed after January 1, 2020 must obtain Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate (CPhT) or complete an ALBOP approved technician training program within 6 months of registration.
