Job summary

East Alabama Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the Pharmacist with preparing prescriptions and supporting front- and back-end operations.

You will perform data entry, filing, processing, billing and shipping of medications, and provide excellent customer service while collaborating with the pharmacy team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Required Registration/License/Certification: Alabama State Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration.
• If licensed after January 1, 2020 must obtain Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate (CPhT) or ALBOP approved technician training program within 6 months of licensure.
• Preferred Education: N/A
• Preferred Experience: Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Previous experience with ScriptPro Pharmacy Management System or ScriptPro Robotics Systems.
• National Certification from an accredited pharmacy technician certification program approved by state regulations (e.g. PTCB, ExCPT).
