Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of pharmacy experience in a hospital inpatient or outpatient setting or 4 years of retail pharmacy experience.
• Alabama State Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration.
• Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or graduate from an accredited program with CPhT status.
• Must maintain certification.
• CSPT certification preferred.
• 2 years of hospital inpatient/outpatient experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and dispensing medications under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Maintain inventory by verifying receipt, restocking and removing outdated medications.
• Provide excellent customer service to physicians, nurses and other hospital staff.
• Collaborate with pharmacy team to ensure patient care quality.
