Job summary

Option Care Health in Colorado is seeking a pharmacy technician to support licensed Pharmacist with day-to-day operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies and state regulations.

The role involves prescription compounding, preparation, processing, labeling medications, and maintaining temperature logs, with an emphasis on accuracy and teamwork. A HS diploma and 1 year of tech experience are required, with licensing as needed by state.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 1 year pharmacy technician experience.
• Must be licensed or registered (if required by the state).

Responsibilities

• Prescription compounding, preparation, & processing (listed in order of importance and/or time spent).
• Assists pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies in accordance with policies and procedures, and state regulations.
• Prepares medications so they are accurately compounded.
• Performs basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dosages.
• Accurately labels and packages medications.
• Participates in the process for assessing, managing, and reporting medication related incidents.
• Site & Supplies/Equipment Maintenance.
• Ensures pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods are cleaned and sanitized.
• Inspects equipment and documents any equipment failures or defects.
• Assists with recording and maintaining pharmacy temperature & cleaning logs.
