Job summary

King Soopers in Colorado is seeking a pharmacy clerk to provide exceptional customer service while supporting health and wellness initiatives. You will assist pharmacists, manage purchases, and ensure accurate data entry and product dispensing in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes compliance with HIPAA, local and federal regulations, and careful handling of confidential information. A positive, professional demeanor and ability to work with diverse customers are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, 18 years old minimum.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Meets minimum state requirements to perform the functions.

Responsibilities

• Comply with local, state and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud
• Comply with and reinforce all food safety, sanitation and safety regulations/guidelines and programs according to company, local, state, and federal health code regulations; identify unsafe conditions and notify store management
• Understand and follow the company guidelines on computerized inventory management, control, and ordering of all medications, devices, supplements and supplies
• Maintain departmental standards including keeping clean and organized work stations and customer waiting areas
• Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing
• Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those that require a pharmacist’s professional judgement
• HIPAA regulations understand and adhere to the company’s policies
• Support company health and wellness initiatives
