Job summary

TCH Medical Center is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in compounding, repackaging, filling and delivering medications. The role includes documentation, stock management, and adherence to safety standards for patients from 0 to adult age groups. Respiratory fit testing is required for all successful candidates.

Candidates should have RPHT-TX or PHAR INT status, CPHT preferred, and around two years of experience in a pharmacy setting.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPHT-TX) with State Board of Pharmacy or Pharmacy Intern acceptable.
• CPHT certification preferred.
• Two years of pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Forty hours of sterile compounding training required.

Responsibilities

• Processes prescriptions and medication orders and prepares medication.
• Ensures proper distribution and delivery of pharmaceutical shipments.
• Maintains drug accountability logs and study drug preparation records.
• Assists in updating formulation books and master records in the pharmacy area.
• Performs weekly inspections of pharmacy areas for supplies and logs.
• Supports procurement, storage, and distribution of medications and supplies.
