System Support at Upper Valley Medical Center in Ohio seeks a Pharmacy Buyer for full-time, 80h per pay period, 8:00 am - 3:30 pm shifts. Responsibilities include purchasing pharmaceuticals, maintaining inventory for ~3,000 items, and minimizing costs while avoiding stock-outs.

The Buyer works under the direct oversight of the Pharmacy Business Manager as well as the site-specific pharmacy management team. The Buyer purchases pharmaceuticals, adhering to contracts, maintaining appropriate inventory control, managing backorders to avoid stock-outs, and minimizing unnecessary costs for approximately 3,000 different stocked medications. Lawson approval authority for invoices is $25,000. The buyer also tracks patient assistance program medications, manages drug recalls, maintains complete and organized records, and coordinates the annual inventory with Internal Audit. The buyer oversees expired medications and the reverse distributor for return of such. Buyer is responsible for maintaining all records required under the Drug Supply Chain Security Act. If assigned site is part of the 340B program, ensures purchasing is performed under the correct accounts per strick program requirements; assists 340B Coordinator with monitoring split billing software accumulations, and avoidance of unnecessary WAC purchases.
