Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Preferred ASHP/ACPE-accredited technician program.
• Associate’s degree in Business is a plus.
• 1–3 years of related experience in pharmacy purchasing.
• Experience with 340B programs a plus.

Responsibilities

• Purchases pharmaceuticals and manages inventory to prevent stock-outs.
• Follows contracts and minimizes unnecessary costs for ~3,000 stocked meds.
• Lawson invoice approval authority up to $25,000.
• Tracks patient assistance program meds and drug recalls.
• Maintains complete records and coordinates annual inventory with Internal Audit.
• Oversees expired meds and reverse distributor returns.
• Ensures records comply with the Drug Supply Chain Security Act.
• If 340B site, ensures proper accounts and assists with split billing.
