Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice in New York. This role centers on patient care, interacting with customers and supporting pharmacists with prescriptions and healthcare services.

You'll participate in an earn-while-you-learn program recognized by ASHP and the Department of Labor, pursue PTCB certification, and grow in a dynamic store environment with modern technology.

Qualifications

• English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with products and services to create a positive experience.
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to maintain a high level of service.
• Model customer service best practices for team members to deliver a distinctive Walgreens experience.
• Assist under pharmacist supervision with entering patient and drug information into pharmacy systems.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring drugs, ensuring accuracy.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to quality policies.
• Handle cash register operations and help customers locate OTC products.
• Support pharmacy inventory management and clerical tasks as needed.
