Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician/Apprentice to be at the center of patient care, interacting with customers and building relationships. The program supports earning while learning toward PTCB certification, with hands-on training and entry to licensed technician roles.

Responsibilities include assisting pharmacists under supervision, handling prescriptions, and ensuring accurate data entry while delivering an excellent customer experience.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math skills for counting, measuring and weighing medications.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and enter patient and drug information.
• Assist with scheduling and maintaining workflow; handle cash registers as needed.
• Maintain accuracy and comply with company policies and procedures.
• Support inventory management and billing activities.
• Deliver a positive and delightful customer experience.
