Job summary

Technology Consulting Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Medina, OH, for an on-site contract-to-hire position.

You will work under a Registered Pharmacist, fill prescriptions, prepare IVs, assist with data entry for reimbursement, and support inventory management. Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Preferred experience in warehousing or distribution inventory management.
• Certified pharmacy technician licenses, if required by State Board of Pharmacy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.
• Shift requirements: Rotating Shifts: 10:30am-7pm or 11:30am-8pm / every 3rd weekend / 2 holidays per year.

Responsibilities

• Fills prescriptions and prepares IVs under supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
• Enters data into computer system with Billing Supervisor for reimbursement payment.
• Prepackages medication for dispensing under supervision.
• Assists in final checking of filled prescriptions and packaging after RPh review.
• Maintains inventory and rotates medications and supplies; posts lot numbers and expiration dates.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment; checks equipment calibration, safety, and cleanliness.

Job description

TCI has an immediate need for a Pharmacy Technician in Medina, OH. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity.

Note: This position requires US Citizenship and work is performed on-site.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, fills prescriptions and prepares IVs.
• Works with Billing Supervisor to enter data into computer system to fill prescriptions and to obtain reimbursement payment.
• Works under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist in prepackaging medication for dispensing according to standards and government regulations.
• Assists the Pharmacist in final checking of filled prescriptions, which may include stating the medication for RPh final review and/or packaging of medication post RPh final review and coordinating accurate and timely delivery to the customer.
• Assists Pharmacy Management in maintaining good inventory practices which may include receiving and rotating incoming medications and supplies, posting lot numbers, expiration dates and assisting in physical inventory.
• Works with Technician Supervisor in maintaining a clean/safe work environment, checking equipment for calibration, safety, and cleanliness.
