Job summary

Technology Consulting Inc in Worthington, OH seeks a Pharmacy Technician for an on-site contract-to-hire role. You will support pharmacists by filling prescriptions, preparing IVs, and assisting with inventory and delivery coordination.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent is required.
• Preferred experience in warehousing or distribution inventory management.
• Certified pharmacy technician licenses, if required by individual State Board of Pharmacy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.
• Shift requirements: 2nd shift - flexible hours. Shift diff offered.

Responsibilities

• Fills prescriptions and prepares IVs under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
• Enter data into computer system with Billing Supervisor to obtain reimbursement payments.
• Prepackaging medication for dispensing according to standards and government regulations under supervision.
• Assist Pharmacist in final checking of filled prescriptions, including labeling for RPh final review and packaging for delivery.
• Assist Pharmacy Management in maintaining inventory, receiving and rotating medications and supplies, posting lot numbers and expiration dates.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensure equipment calibration, safety, and cleanliness.

Job description

TCI has an immediate need for a Pharmacy Technician in Worthington, OH. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity.

Note: This position requires US Citizenship and work is performed on-site.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, fills prescriptions and prepares IVs.
• Works with Billing Supervisor to enter data into computer system to fill prescriptions and to obtain reimbursement payment.
• Works under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist in prepackaging medication for dispensing according to standards and government regulations.
• Assists the Pharmacist in final checking of filled prescriptions, which may include stating the medication for RPh final review and/or packaging of medication post RPh final review and coordinating accurate and timely delivery to the customer.
• Assists Pharmacy Management in maintaining good inventory practices which may include receiving and rotating incoming medications and supplies, posting lot numbers, expiration dates and assisting in physical inventory.
• Works with Technician Supervisor in maintaining a clean/safe work environment, checking equipment for calibration, safety, and cleanliness.
