Job summary

Technology Consulting Inc (TCI) is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician for an on-site role in Horsham, PA. The contract-to-hire position supports a pharmacy team by filling prescriptions, preparing IVs, and assisting with inventory and billing processes.

• Warehouse or distribution inventory management experience preferred.
• Certified pharmacy technician licenses, if required by state board.

• Ability to learn company product codes and terminology.
• Shift: 1st shift with flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Fills prescriptions and prepares IVs under pharmacist supervision.
• Enter data into system with Billing Supervisor to obtain reimbursements.
• Prepackages medication for dispensing under pharmacist supervision.
• Assist in final checking of filled prescriptions and packaging after RPh review.
• Maintain inventory, rotate medications, post lot numbers, manage expiration dates.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment; check calibration and safety of equipment.

Job description

TCI has an immediate need for a pharmacy technician in Horsham, PA. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity.

Note: This position requires US Citizenship and work is performed on-site.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, fills prescriptions and prepares IVs.
• Works with Billing Supervisor to enter data into computer system to fill prescriptions and to obtain reimbursement payment.
• Works under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist in prepackaging medication for dispensing according to standards and government regulations.
• Assists the Pharmacist in final checking of filled prescriptions, which may include stating the medication for RPh final review and/or packaging of medication post RPh final review and coordinating accurate and timely delivery to the customer.
• Assists Pharmacy Management in maintaining good inventory practices which may include receiving and rotating incoming medications and supplies, posting lot numbers, expiration dates and assisting in physical inventory.
• Works with Technician Supervisor in maintaining a clean/safe work environment, checking equipment for calibration, safety, and cleanliness.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Preferred experience in warehousing or distribution inventory management.
• Certified pharmacy technician licenses, if required by individual State Board of Pharmacy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills, required.
