Job summary

Technology Consulting Inc. (TCI) seeks a Pharmacy Technician in Greensburg, PA for a contract-to-hire, on-site role under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. The position requires accuracy, communication, and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities include filling prescriptions and preparing IVs, data entry for reimbursements, prepackaging, assisting in final checks, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean, safe work area for timely customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Preferred experience in warehousing or distribution inventory management.
• Certified pharmacy technician licenses, if required by individual State Board of Pharmacy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills, required.
• Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.
• Shift requirements: 1st Shift: rotating schedule (days will differ) every 2 weeks / must be available 7 days per week / 8am-4:30pm or 9am-5:30pm / every other weekend 9am-5:30pm / 2 holidays per year

• Works with Billing Supervisor to enter data into computer system to fill prescriptions and to obtain reimbursement payment.
• Works under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist in prepackaging medication for dispensing according to standards and government regulations.
• Assists the Pharmacist in final checking of filled prescriptions, which may include stating the medication for RPh final review and/or packaging of medication post RPh final review and coordinating accurate and timely delivery to the customer.
• Assists Pharmacy Management in maintaining good inventory practices which may include receiving and rotating incoming medications and supplies, posting lot numbers, expiration dates and assisting in physical inventory.
• Works with Technician Supervisor in maintaining a clean/safe work environment, checking equipment for calibration, safety, and cleanliness.
