Job summary

Geisinger Health is seeking a Pharmacy Support Associate to assist with non-registered pharmacy technician duties. You will handle inventory and medications prepared for distribution to patients or facilities, in a logistics-focused pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities include clerical tasks, shipping/receiving activities, and pharmacist-verified preparation for delivery. HIPAA compliance and accurate paperwork are required daily in this office-based role at Geisinger CLAM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year related work experience preferred.
• Registered as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee, a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern - Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical duties in the designated work area.
• Involvement in pharmacy-related shipping, receiving, and logistics.
• Prepares for delivery (pharmacist verified) medications for shipping to patients or healthcare workers.
• Maintains pharmacy by fulfilling daily operational needs.
• Follows HIPAA guidelines with patient information.
• Maintains financial, reimbursement, and patient assistance paperwork when applicable.
