Job summary

NHS Highland is seeking a Pharmacy Support Worker to join the hospital pharmacy team at New Craigs Hospital. You will assist with safe, efficient medicine supply and contribute to stock management, under supervision of pharmacy staff.

You will be supported to complete SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services and to meet mandatory induction standards for Health Care Support Workers in Scotland, while upholding the code of conduct throughout employment.

Qualifications

• SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services is required or in progression.
• Mandatory induction standards for Health Care Support Workers in Scotland must be completed.

Responsibilities

• Support the dispensing and supply of medicines under supervision.
• Maintain ward and departmental stock levels and stock control activities.
• Process medicine orders and returns.
• Provide telephone and reception assistance and general administrative support.
