Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a Pharmacy Support Worker at New Craigs Hospital to join our hospital pharmacy team. You will contribute to the safe, effective and efficient supply and management of medicines, under the supervision of pharmacy staff, and you will be supported to complete SVQ/NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services.

Responsibilities include assisting with stock control, processing medicine orders and returns, and handling telephone and reception enquiries while providing administrative support.

Qualifications

• SVQ/NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services to be completed with support.
• Mandatory induction standards for Health Care Support Workers in Scotland to be achieved.
• Ability to work carefully, accurately and efficiently in a busy environment.
• Full training will be provided; prior pharmacy experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the dispensing and supply of medicines under supervision.
• Maintaining ward and departmental stock levels, including stock replenishment and stock control.
• Processing medicine orders and returns.
• Responding to telephone and reception enquiries and providing administrative support.
