Job summary

NHS Lothian’s Pharmacy & Medicines Service at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh is seeking motivated Pharmacy Support Workers to join a well-established team responsible for the safe provision of medicines across the site.

You will assist in preparation and distribution of medicines, with full training and ongoing support provided to help you develop the necessary skills within a supportive NHS environment.

Qualifications

• National 4 or above (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
• SCQF Level 6 units relevant to post within 12 months following probationary period
• Completion of Healthcare Support Workers induction standards within 12 months following probationary period
• Prior experience within healthcare/pharmacy environment or stock management beneficial but not essential
• A diligent, reliable and flexible approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and distribution of medicines.
• Stock management and stock control within the pharmacy.
• Full training and ongoing support will be provided to develop necessary skills.
