Job summary

Grady Health System in Atlanta is seeking a Pharmacy Supply Chain Specialist responsible for obtaining services at the lowest cost while meeting quality and delivery standards. You will prepare procurement instruments in line with Grady policies and support a buying program aligned with hospital objectives.

You will lead the RFP process, review orders for cost effectiveness, coordinate shipments, create and reconcile purchase orders in PeopleSoft, and work with specialty pharmacies to ensure

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in business, finance, supply chain or healthcare-related field.
• Three or more years of experience in pharmacy, supply chain or healthcare.
• Hospital/health system procurement experience including 340B program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assures replenishment stock orders and assists with preparation of RFPs.
• Leads RFP process and contract award recommendations as assigned.
• Reviews orders for cost-effective drug options and appropriate quantities.
• Arranges shipments to assure product availability and processes return authorizations.
• Prepares and submits orders to drug wholesalers and works on procurement issues.
• Creates purchase orders and reconciles receiving documents in PeopleSoft.
• Manages POs with specialty pharmacies and reconciles with AP for timely payment.
