Pharmacy Supply Chain Manager (Temple Hospital) – Job code 263425. Responsible for supplier relationship management and coordinating with vendors to maintain a safe and effective pharmaceutical supply chain. Oversees purchasing, receiving, contract compliance, inventory management, external departmental requisitions, and storeroom operations. Serves as the key point of contact for pharmaceutical supply directives. Provides routine financial operating information and assists in budget preparation.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier relationships and collaborate with vendors to maintain a safe and effective supply chain for pharmaceuticals and related products.
• Oversee purchasing and receiving of approved pharmaceuticals and related supplies; ensure contract compliance, inventory management, and handling of external departmental requisitions and storeroom operations.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all pharmaceutical and related supply directives.
• Provide routine financial operating information and assist in budget preparation.
• Oversee the storage of medications as determined by manufacturers and applicable regulations; oversee the disposition process for expired or damaged pharmaceuticals.
• Supervise the department’s Material Handlers and contribute to performance evaluations.
• Utilize appropriate technology to perform duties effectively.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s Degree Required or a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Experience: 4 years of experience in pharmaceutical and related supply procurement and inventory management required.
• Licenses: Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred.
