Job summary

CHI Health Lakeside in West Omaha is seeking a Pharmacy Student Intern to assist the Pharmacist in medication preparation, compounding, inventory management, and distribution.

You will apply extreme accuracy, assist with controlled substances, and ensure storage areas meet USP/regulatory standards while using pharmacy automation. You will field questions, support caregivers, and participate in clinical and administrative tasks under licensed supervision.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited College of Pharmacy.
• Pharmacist Intern license in Nebraska.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist in medication preparation and compounding.
• Support inventory management and distribution.
• Apply extreme accuracy and manage controlled substances per regulations.
• Maintain medication storage areas using pharmacy automation.
• Triage calls and questions regarding medication distribution.
• Assist other caregivers within scope of practice under supervision.
• Participate in clinical and administrative functions as assigned by pharmacy leadership.
• Progress in responsibilities throughout training and education.
• Perform pharmacy calculations accurately and independently.

Education
