Mercy Jefferson Pharmacy in Festus, MO is seeking a Pharmacy Student (P1–P4) to gain hands-on experience under a licensed Pharmacist. The role supports medication preparation, distribution, inventory management, and pharmacy operations while developing skills for a successful career in pharmacy.

Working part-time (12 hours weekly), you will learn aseptic technique, participate in training, and help with safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy and completing your first professional year (P1).
• Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy and completing your second professional year (P2).
• Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy and completing your third professional year (P3).
• Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy and completing your fourth professional year (P4).
• Registered and in good standing with the state Board of Pharmacy as either a Pharmacy Intern or Pharmacy Technician, as required by the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist with medication preparation, dispensing, distribution, and inventory control.
• Support pharmacists in providing safe, accurate, and timely patient care services.
• Accurately process medication orders and documentation within pharmacy systems.
• Compound sterile products using proper aseptic technique and established procedures.
• Help maintain medication inventory and identify outdated products.
• Deliver medications to patient care areas in a timely manner.
• Support pharmacy quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and safety initiatives.
• Assist with workflow coordination and communication across departments.
• Participate in training and mentoring new team members as appropriate.
• Contribute ideas and solutions to improve efficiency, patient safety, and pharmacy operations.
