Job summary

SIU Medicine in Springfield, IL, seeks a Pharmacy Technician to manage specialized pharmaceutical administrative and operations activities for the Office of Correctional Medicine. The role requires statewide travel to Illinois correctional facilities and is on-site only.

You will support leadership, develop policies, supervise staff, prepare reports, and coordinate student rotations. Candidates must be licensed and meet lead_worker duties; three years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

Current Illinois Pharmacy Technician registration.
Six months of formal pharmaceutical procedures training or equivalent experience.
Three years of progressively responsible pharmacy technician work, including one year in lead duties.

Responsibilities

Serve as SME for pharmaceutical standards and operations; support leadership and administrators.
Review and interpret pharmaceutical policies; draft communications.
Plan, organize, and analyze information to support reports and operations.
Lead and train pharmacy technician staff; ensure compliance with policies.
Produce confidential reports and official documents for leadership.
