Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacists in providing medications to patients in an inpatient hospital and outpatient infusion setting.
• Prepares and compounds individual patient doses, primarily sterile hazardous and non-hazardous IV medications for adult and pediatric populations in accordance with current USP guidelines.
• Maintains a sterile work environment with specified cleaning procedures.
• Assists pharmacist and other technicians with inventory management of materials and medications.

Qualifications

• Required Education: High School
• Required Related Experience: 1 year work experience
• Required License/Registration/Certification: National Pharmacy Technician Certification and Registration with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy

Knowledge of inpatient drug distribution systems; ability to prioritize; strong customer service skills.

Shift

6:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. 1-4 days a week
