HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist and support daily operations in the hospital pharmacy.

The role emphasizes accuracy, policy adherence and ongoing proficiency in specialty practice areas. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of pharmacy experience, hold or be eligible for Pharmacy Technician licensure, and commit to completing required certification within 12 months or be enrolled in a PharmD program.

  • 1 year pharmacy experience is required.
  • Licensed or registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of practice is required.
  • IL: license pending status allowed up to 60 days; WI: license pending status until registration approved.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician certification must be achieved within 12 months of hire or enrolled in a Doctorate of Pharmacy program.

  • Under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist, perform tasks per department policies and procedures.
  • Maintain proficiency in Pharmacy Technician specialty practices as required by department.

Pay Range:$19.50 - $28.28A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.Under the direct supervision of the registered pharmacist, and according to state and federal laws, performs a variety of tasks according to policies and procedures.
