UPMC Health Plan is seeking a Pharmacy Services Representative for the Pharmacy Services department. This full-time role is based in the Pittsburgh area and offers remote work-from-home privileges.

The rep will support physicians, pharmacists, and members with pharmacy claims and Health Plan benefits in a call center setting. Hours are 8:00 AM–6:00 PM with a 9:30 AM start; some shifts may start earlier and rotate Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy technician training preferred.
• Customer service and/or call center experience required.
• Basic knowledge of health care/managed care concepts.
• Good verbal and communication skills; including telephone skills.
• Proficiency in typing required.
• Ability to Microsoft Windows based PC and multi-line telephone.

Responsibilities

• Handle all duties with the highest level of confidentiality.
• Accurately complete required documentation per department guidelines.
• Follow-up on inquiries from UPMC Health Plan customers (physicians, members or pharmacists).
• Maintain current knowledge of all Health Plan and departmental policies and procedures.
• Respond to customer (physicians, members or pharmacists) requests and inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.

Job description

UPMC Health Plan has an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Services Representative position in the Pharmacy Services department. This is a full-time position based in the Pittsburgh area. This is a remote role with work-from-home privileges. (privilege eligibility is subject to continued achievement of business goals and on-site department needs).

The Pharmacy Services Rep will provide customer service support, in a call center environment, to UPMC Health Plan's Department of Pharmacy Services. Interact with physicians, pharmacists, and members to obtain information pertinent to the decision-making process, explain Health Plan sponsored benefits, and assist with pharmacy claims processing functions. The scope of the information is primarily clinical and pharmacological in nature.

Hours of Operation: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Schedule: This position begins with a 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. schedule. Earlier shifts, including 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., are available based on tenure. Employees also participate in a rotating Saturday schedule from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
