Job summary

InfuCare Rx in Boynton Beach, FL, is seeking a Pharmacy Service Representative to advocate for patients and ensure that the prescribed drug therapy, pharmacy assessment and care plan meet medical, social, and personal needs.

Reporting to the Pharmacist-In-Charge and Staff Pharmacists, you will coordinate medication delivery for IV therapy and specialty services, assist in education for patients on the Digital platform, and handle scheduling notifications and data entry in the pharmacy system.

Qualifications

• Current and in good standing pharmacy technician license
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a pharmacy technician
• Healthcare experience required; specialty/home infusion experience preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite products
• Strong, clear communication and accountability for goals

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to ensure proper delivery of medications for scheduled infusions
• Assess patient needs during communication and document appropriately
• Educate patients on using the Digital platform and designation
• Ensure patients receive notifications and understand appointment schedules
• Respond to patient calls timely and professionally
• Update patient demographics and data per policies
• Enter relevant communications in the pharmacy system progress notes
• Assist with picking/packing products for shipping as requested
• Attend meetings and support company initiatives including data collection software launch
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Description:

Reporting to the Pharmacist-In-Charge and Staff Pharmacists, the Pharmacy Service Representative will act as the patient’s advocate to ensure that the prescribed drug therapy, pharmacy assessment and pharmacy care plan are followed as prescribed and meets the medical, social, and personal needs of the patient.

Responsibilities:

• Communicates with patients to ensure proper delivery of medications (both acute, IVIG and specialty) for scheduled infusion appointments.


• During communication with patients, understand how to properly complete assessment.


• Assists with determining patient availability for the Digital designation and will assist in education for the patient on using the Digital platform.


• Ensures that patients receive notifications and understand appointment schedule.


• Responds to patient calls timely and appropriately.


• Obtains and updates necessary patient demographic and related data according to policies and procedures.


• Data enters relevant communications in progress notes of pharmacy operating system.


• Assists with picking and packing products in preparation for shipping as requested.


• Attending meetings and other functions necessary to perform duties and assist in business. development for the Company, including assisting in launching a certain data collection software.


• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Must possess a current and in good standing pharmacy technician license in state of employment


• Minimum of (2) years’ experience as a pharmacy technician preferred.
