Job summary

The Pharmacy Senior Technician at University of Kentucky assists pharmacists in providing medications to patients in an inpatient hospital setting, including complex sterile and non-sterile compounding. • Support multiple service areas: Chandler Inpatient, GS Inpatient, OR Satellite, Pediatric Satellite and Oncology Satellites.
• Contribute to medication safety checks and timely dispensing.

Required License/Registration/Certification

Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician by either PTCB ( PTCE ) or NHA (ExCPT); Registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements

This position requires use of a computer workstation, completion of tasks with repetitive motions, and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds. This position may require personnel to wear personal protective equipment to reduce risk of exposure to work-related hazards (e.g. handling of hazardous medications).

Hours ranging from 7:00am – 6:30pm, Monday – Friday

Job Summary
