Required License/Registration/Certification: Registration with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy ( KBOP ) is required within 30 days of new hire if not previously registered as a pharmacy technician in KY. Must renew registration with KBOP on day one if lapsed and must keep registration in good standing and renew annually.

Physical Requirements: May include standing, sitting, or walking for greater than 5 hours at a time. May require the ability to reach items above or below shoulder level and be able to lift up to 30 pounds.

Shift: NOTE—this posting is primarily for an as needed (non-benefitted) pharmacy technician position in the new Richmond, KY location of UKHC Retail Pharmacies. Primarily covering shifts at the Richmond Retail Pharmacy located in Richmond, KY. Must be available to work during operating hours of the location which includes evening and weekend hours. Operating hours, schedule and shifts needed are subject to change based on location and scheduling needs of assignment area. Training shifts may be done in one of the Lexington, KY locations prior to opening of location. Must be able to commute to sites if selected for these areas. Locations and typical shifts will be reviewed during interview.

Preferred Education/Experience: One year previous work experience (preferably in a related field) is preferred. Prefer previous pharmacy tech experience or work/classes in medical field. Hired candidate must maintain registration with the KY Board of Pharmacy. High school diploma or equivalent required. General chemistry knowledge, basic algebra, and proficient reading/writing/speaking in the English language, preferred.
