Job Description

We are seeking a Pharmacy Service Representative responsible for the following duties:

1. Ensure prompt service in the Pharmacy Department by performing all related functions.
2. Enter prescription information into the computer, including patient and prescriber searches, drug selection, interpretation, insurance billing, and basic troubleshooting.
3. Process new and refill prescriptions, including obtaining refill authorizations from doctors where permitted by law.
4. Retrieve medications from inventory and create prescription labels and containers as permitted by law.
5. Complete paperwork and input customer and prescription data into the system.
6. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Pharmacy department.
7. Assist with inventory management, including ordering, returns, restocking, and physical inventories.
8. Reconstitute oral liquids where legally permitted.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not currently include supervisory duties.

Qualifications

The successful candidate should have:

• A high school diploma or GED, plus 600 hours of practical experience in retail or pharmacy operations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
