Trinity Health Corp. is offering a Pharmacy Resident position for 2027-2028. The program combines clinical practice, operational learning, and professional development, with residents joining the patient care team and gaining hands-on experience across pharmacy practice areas.

Residents rotate through diverse areas, complete a major project, and strengthen skills in patient care, leadership, and quality improvement while contributing to drug safety and optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Pharm D required; Iowa pharmacist licensure or eligibility (exam/reciprocity) required.
• Licensure must be obtained within 60 days of hire.

Responsabilités

Employment Type: Full time Shift: Rotating Shift Description: Pharmacy Resident (2027-2028) Launch your career through a dynamic pharmacy residency experience that combines clinical practice, operational learning, and professional development. Residents become valued members of the patient care team while gaining hands‑on experience across a variety of pharmacy practice areas. Through diverse rotations and impactful projects, residents build expertise in patient care, pharmacy operations, leadership, and quality improvement. In addition, residents work scheduled pharmacist shifts, strengthening their clinical skills and gaining valuable insight into how pharmacy services support patient outcomes and healthcare operations. This residency offers a unique opportunity to grow as a clinician, innovator, and future leader in pharmacy practice.

Shift: Rotating

What you will do

• Successfully completes the goals and objectives established for the residency program and those specific to each rotation.
• Satisfactorily completes one major project during the residency program (1 year) and other projects assigned while on rotations.
• Provides a safe and effective drug control system; procures, compounds, prepares and dispenses pharmaceuticals according to policy and procedure.
• Provides medication therapy management care to the patient populations served; identifies, prevents and resolves medication related problems to promote safe and effective use of medications and to facilitate positive patient outcomes; documents (as required) the appropriate findings, interventions, recommendations, plan and/or outcomes.
• Provides education/consultative services to patients and professional staff to assure appropriate use of medications.
• Provides functional supervision to the pharmacy operations in assigned work area. This includes responsibility and accountability for ensuring timely, accurate completion of all pharmacy functions, duties, and responsibilities during assigned work period/shift.

Qualifications

Pharm D Pharmacy Degree is required Iowa Pharmacist Licensure or eligible for licensure, either by examination or reciprocity is required. Must obtain licensure within 60 days of hire.
