Job summary

University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) seeks an Assistant Director of Recruitment in Chicago, IL. This leadership role oversees the College of Pharmacy’s recruitment and enrollment efforts, partnering with the Assistant Dean and Senior Director of Student Affairs to execute strategic initiatives and supervise student ambassadors.

The position may operate from Chicago or Rockford campuses. You will analyze enrollment data, manage events, and build partnerships with advisors, alumni, and healthcare

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in higher education admissions, recruitment, enrollment management, student affairs, advising, counseling, marketing, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and evaluating recruitment or enrollment initiatives
• Demonstrated experience supervising, training, mentoring, or coordinating student employees, staff, volunteers, or peer leaders
• Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and public speaking skills
• Strong organizational, project management, and leadership skills
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and use assessment findings to guide decision-making
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with diverse populations and creating inclusive recruitment practices
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities, solve problems, and initiate projects
• Frequent travel, including overnight travel during peak recruitment periods, and regular travel between the Chicago and Rockford campuses
• Must possess a current and valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in the development, implementation, and assessment of the College's recruitment, marketing, and yield strategies to support enrollment goals for the PharmD, graduate, and BSPS programs
• Collaborate with the Assistant Dean and Senior Director of Student Affairs to identify recruitment priorities and measurable goals
• Develop and maintain relationships with prospective students and key stakeholders
• Represent the College at local, regional, and national recruitment events and outreach activities
• Manage a portfolio of recruitment activities including campus visits, information sessions, open houses, interview days, and virtual events
• Serve as a primary resource for admissions requirements and career opportunities in pharmacy
• Supervise and coordinate student recruitment personnel and ambassadors
• Analyze recruitment and enrollment data and prepare reports for leadership
• Support admissions and enrollment management through participation in processes and process improvements
• Assist with budget management, planning, program assessment, event oversight and special projects
• Performs other duties as assigned
