Job summary

Medwiz Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Receiving Technician to join our on-site team in Massachusetts. This role is responsible for accurately receiving, verifying, and stocking pharmaceutical deliveries in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced pharmacy environment, with strong communication skills to coordinate with pharmacists and suppliers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical products and inventory management practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify deliveries against orders and packing slips.

Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Receiving Technician is responsible for accurately receiving, verifying, and stocking pharmaceutical deliveries. This role ensures that all received medications and supplies follow company policies and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and verify incoming pharmaceutical deliveries against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Inspect deliveries for accuracy, quality, and compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Properly label and store medications and supplies in designated areas.
• Maintain accurate records of received items, discrepancies, and any returns to vendors.
• Collaborate with the inventory management team to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
• Assist with inventory counts and audits as needed.
• Ensure the receiving area is clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures at all times.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers, pharmacists, and other team members to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
• Assist with other pharmacy tasks as directed by the Production Manager/Fulfillment/Inventory Manager.
• Ability to lift and carry weights up to 30 lbs, stand, and walk for extended periods.

The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The regular work schedule for this position is approximately 40+ hours per week (Monday-Friday and may work weekends as needed and/or on a rotating basis) and may require additional days/hours as necessary.

Must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception, Ability to adjust focus and Ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, bend, and walk.
