Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of college education.
• One year of professional experience or Bachelor's degree.
• Knowledge of practices and procedures for procurement of materials, components, equipment, and services.

Responsibilities

• Maintain optimal pharmacy inventory by managing min/max stock levels, forecasting needs, and purchasing from wholesalers and internal warehouses.
• Resolve drug backorders and source alternatives from other pharmacies or suppliers.
• Troubleshoot issues related to drug purchasing and inventory management.
• Report temporary out products to wholesalers to keep supply chain communications up to date.
• Inform pharmacy management promptly of critical drug shortages affecting patient therapy.
• Adjust inventory min/max thresholds with volume changes or new business demands.
• Support the implementation of new contracts and programs across field locations.
• Monitor participation in cost-saving programs and strategic purchasing initiatives.
• Ensure new drug products are acquired and entered into the system accurately.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency.
• Perform additional duties to support pharmacy operations.
